MMC 9.08, Cat version unsure (hardware manager lists most of the files at
6.14... not using CCC, it's a bloated pig), Guide+ has been working for months
with this same configuration, and just the other day started crapping out with
an "Access violation at address 017310CD. Read of address 017310CD." error. I
uninstalled and reinstalled from the CD - same problem. No Windows updates have
been applied in that time (I have auto-updates disabled).

Any thoughts?

IIUC the scheduler in 9.08 gets corrupted from Guide+ characters. Cleaning
it and the Windows scheduler out might fix it. I only got a few weeks of
light use befor having problems. I just stopped using it. Don't remember now
what error I was getting though.
