Does anyone have a link to a guide on how to setup a box with Win2000
installed as a print server?
I know how to setup a shared printer on W2K but not sure what principles are
invloved with setting up a print server. I presume better spool management
is the advantage of using a print server over just using multiple shared
printers on the network?
All help welcome

It's just shareing the printer and configuring the permissions.

Where is the spool file when printing to a shared printer? i.e.:
suppose I am printing a big document. With one computer, the system
will bog down during the print job. Using a print server, I woudl
expect that the server would hold the spool file and that the main
computer would be totally freed up.

I had a shared pritner set up on our home network, but never observed
if that's how it worked.
