Is there a way to have Guide Plus+ automatically download/update it's 7 day
file?

I have a question... nobody can anwser...

HOW do you get the GUIDE PLUS to come up?

A friend as the ATI TV Wonder PCI, we had it working.... now, we cant
find it... its like it NEVER exisited! And there is nothing about it
in the manual.

Using 8.x of the MMC software on WindowsXP.

You mean the button in the TV application doesn't work? I also have a group
in the Start Menu called GUIDE PLUS+(TM).

You'll have to re-install from the software CD. Guide+ is not a part of MMC
downloads off of ATI web site.

Maybe that's what happened: You uninstalled all of ATI software and
installed MMC downloaded from ATI web site...

Oh.... thing was... it used to work...

But er... the TV Tuner works just fine... but I thought there was a
button on it or somewhere for the Guide Plus (What retard come up with
"PLUS+" - I guess the same dumb ass who couldn't name a baseball field
in Texas... they named it "The Ballpark".) Hint: lives in a big
white house.

The Guide+ software, isn't it very old on the CD-ROM? Can it be
re-downloaded, a newer version?

Actually Bush had nothing to do with naming "The Ballpark", that decision
was made by the Arlington City Council at the time. And I do agree with you
that it is lame, hopefully some company will come in and pay the city to
change it oh, lets say, Roto Rooter Stadium. 8)

The leftmost button on row at the top of the TV Player (default blue oval
skin) does that.
The Guide+ software, isn't it very old on the CD-ROM? Can it be
re-downloaded, a newer version?

There is a separate application to update Guide+ that shows up in the start
menu program group.

The current version that's on my system is 1.0.0.44

what card do you have? and what is the version number of your ATI driver
CD?
My version of guide+ on the CD was 1.0.0.34 and I upgraded to 38

My card is an AIW Radeon 9700 Pro. Driver CD says: 180-v01053-100 and guide+
on the CD is 1.0.0.38. I've had the card just over a year now and have never
seen an update for guide+ when running the update wizard. Although someone
in this thread says they have 1.0.0.44 which seems to be a higher version. I
just thought it a little strange that the update wizard is always telling me
I have the latest.

It's quite weird.

Help About in Guide+ says ver 1.0.0.44

In the C:\Program Files\Gemstar\GUIDE PLUS+(TM)\ATI directory, the latest
file (excepting the puzzle files) is

atidataeng.dll dated 3/17/03 ver 1.0.1.5

The actual program file is

PGETV.exe dated 1/29/03 ver 1.0.0.29

So, what exactly is at ver 1.0.0.44 ??

There are a number of DLL's in there but none show 1.0.0.44 as the version #
... Strange.

Same here. I have .38 and the Wizard says it's the latest. Perhaps they've
shipped a later version on the ATI CD but don't have it available on their
Website.

The baseball owners worked with the city... they OWN it, they could
reject it... whatever..

But yes, these NEW names SUCK ASS... Roto-Rooter, sounds about right?

We havethe American Airelines Center and other Brand names... sick of
it, I find it insulting... Crap..

See the movie BASE-KET Ball, from the guys who made SouthPark,
hilarious shit, but they poke at those NEW names.
