Having now solved my original problem of getting carriage return to function
in my guestlog (thank you, Thomas), I have a new problem.

When I changed the HTML/PRE parameter, the font for the posts changed and
now that there is no text wrap. I know how to add text wrap in my other
forms, but am not sure where to add this piece of code on the post.htm form.
Should I just add it into the same string as the value that I adjusted
earlier?

Thanks, again....

Further information..... I do have wrap="virtual" set on the post.htm form.
However, now when the form posts to guestlog.htm there is no wrap, just miles
of text that forces by table to stretch to the next state and back. If
someone used the carriage return, that does wrap the line, but otherwise it
does not wrap.

Using FP2003.

Thanks!

Basically you need to leave the default setting. The guest book (and discussion web) have very
limited amount of flexibility in terms of functionality.

Well that certainly is discouraging. Same reason I use alternate software
for my forums. Do you happen to know of a secondary piece of software that
would give me the functionality in formatting that I would need?

Thanks :)

You might check with the authors of your forum application or do a search.
