There are no icons showing when going into the Guest
Account (using Windows XP Home). They were there once
upon a time, now nothing; not even the start button.
Seems as if the only way to exit the Guest window is to
power off. How can I get the Start button back as well as
Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, WinWord, or other
software icons back onto the Guest User window?

Right click the desktop and select: Arrange Icons by> and place a check
next to "Show Desktop Icons." Also, press Ctrl+Esc (or the Windows key) to
bring up the start menu and taskbar. Right click on the taskbar and select
Properties. Put a check next to "Keep Taskbar on top of other windows."
And, if present, remove the check next to "Auto-hide the taskbar."
