I have a guest page but it keeps getting cluttered by junk. I believed
caused by "software programs.... robots" or what ever. At any rate, I'm
about to scrap the idea of a guest page if I can't stop outside inputs of
garbage (it amounts to SPAM. links for software, porno, & other items to
purchase).

Anything I can do to stop this or should I just scrap the guest page.

Thanks.

Others have indicated that they have changed the file names for the submit page.

I started getting guest book spam a few months ago. I redid
the way the entries were processed so they would be emailed
to me for approval. It is disheartening- almost 95% of the
entries are sitting in my denied entries folder. Soon I
will be eliminating the guestbook altogether

yes.

Hackers are using automatic robots to look for specific pages that provide some type of function,
such as the guest book, send email, forums, etc. that are widely used on the internet. One example
is formmail.pl.

I agree with looking for function. My gb is at
domain.com/guestbook/default.asp, and it just sucks all the
scum from the earth into it...
