Grouping Unrelated Reports into 1 Report

I have to put together a report comprised of about 10 totally unrelated
reports plus a cover and TOC. Currently, a procedure opens each report 1
after the other with a page number field building on each report so that the
TOC opens last and reads the starting page number for each report.

I tried to create 1 main report with no recordsource and each report being a
subreport in either a group header or footer that starts on a new page.
That way, I conformed all reports to have the same page dimensions and the
same page footer for page number simplicity. Unfortunately, A2k doesn't
permit a subreport to display its page header or footer so any report that
spans more than 1 page doesn't get the column headers for subsequent pages.
This appears to me my only problem with this method.

Does Access 2003 fix this problem (we will be upgrading fairly soon)? Or
does anyone have any suggestions since I'm stumped?

TIA

You can use a group header in the subreport to simulate a page header.

1. Open the subreport in design view.

2. In the Sorting'n'Grouping dialog (View menu), choose a field that won't
change.

3. In the lower pane of the dialog, choose Yes for Header.

4. Access adds a section to the report.

5. Right-click the section (the grey bar), and choose Properties.
Set the Repeat Section property to Yes.

The section now appears at the top of each new page when the subreport
spills onto multiple pages.

The problem is that there are 12 reports so the subreport appears in the
group header section as opposed to the detail section. Setting the Group
Header Repeat to Yes would cause a never ending report because the 1st page
would forever be repeated. I appreciate the effort.

I was given one suggestion of breaking the pages into separate reports so
each report is only one page.
Got anything else?
