Grouping the contactslist

In Outlook Express I had groups of addresses, like 'family' 'insurence'
'work' ...
When I clicked on the 'to' I got a list these groups, and after clicking on
one of them I saw the addresses.
Now in Windows Mail all the addresses are ungrouped, and the one needed is
hard to find.
Is there a way to group them ?

Thanks, Charly

Right click on an empty area of the Contacts window, select Properties,
Customize tab, select Contacts from templates drop down list, click apply and
OK. Then create your contacts groups using New Contact Group button.

Windows Mail has groups, but they are more like email lists.. you send to
the group, everyone in the group gets the email.

Yes, but that's not what I want. I want to select a group of persons and then
select one of the group, as it worked in Outlook Express.
Thanks for answering, Charly

That's the way to make groups, and send a message to ALL the members of the
group. But I only want to make groups in order to make it easy to find ONE
person.

The contacts are in C:\Users\Charly\Contacts. I've allready made
subdirectories (family, bank, ...) and moved (moved, not copied !) addresses
to them.
But in Windows Mail, when I want to select (with 'To') I do not see the
groups, and all the addresses are all together.

Unfortunately that's the way Contacts works in Windows Mail.
There are no workarounds that I know of.

I vote with you wanting the feature to select one of the group of persons.
Irritating that they did away with that feature.
