Grouping Objects in PPT 2007

Hi,

I cant' seem to group objects in PowerPoint 2007. I select clip art, or
text boxes, either using a marquee, or by Shift+ Ctrl, but the group menus
are all greyed out. I have no idea why such a simple action is proving so
difficult.

Pls let me know what I am doing wrong.

Try changing its format other than "in line with text". See if it helps

Hi Rangana,

I'm afraid I don't know where that is in PowerPoint. I've clicked on Format
Shape from the right mouse click menu, and can't find it there. I know where
it is in Word, but not PPT.

There's no "in line with text" in PowerPoint.

Probably your problem is that you are trying to group something that cannot
be grouped eg placeholders / tables

yah..forgot...there might be a placeholder which gives you this difficulty.
