Grouping in Outlook 2010

In Outlook 2007, I have no grouping for messages in my inbox, sent folder,
etc. I have been unable to get the same for Outlook 2010. The default is to
group messages by date (today, last week, 3 weeks ago). I can change the
grouping to something else (recipient, subject, etc), but if I select none as
the grouping, it always goes back to grouping by date. Cna anyone shed some
light on what I'm doing wrong.

Expand the view gallery in the Arrangement group on the View tab and disable
the option "Show in Groups".
