Grouping Images in PPT and copying them to Word

In Office 2003, I was able to group (aka merge) 2 images in PPT and then copy
that grouped image and paste it into Word as one image.

We just recently moved to Office 2007 and I did the same thing I did in
2003, however, this time it pasted my merged PPT image as 2 images in Word.

I found a work around, however, I'd like to know if there is a simpler way
to do this like I used to in 2003.

Have you tried using Paste special, listarrow next to paste button, then
choose paste special and choose one of the formats that is offered to you.

Thanks for the tip. That is not what I tried, however, after reading your
suggestion I went back to try and it worked.

I'm just disappointed that with this upgrade something that simple got
changed so much.
