Group similar taskbar buttons only for IE, kill add new hardware wizard

I would like the Group similar taskbar buttons option only to apply to
IE, but have a seperate button for each open word document. Is this
possible?

Also, how do I completely disable the add new hardware wizard. It
always pops up when I turn on my computer and tries to install a driver
for my printer. None of the many methods and "workarounds" described
online did anything to stop it.

I have no desire at all for this feature, I can install drivers myself,
and want to completely disable it.

Unless Kelly or Doug have tweaked it, it's an all-or-nothing setting.

I don't believe it can be completely disabled. Simply hit cancel and install
the driver from the CD or downloaded installation file.
