I have sp2 xp home.. if i type gpedit.msc in run i get windows cannot find
file

if i try and add with Snap on facility Group Polict is not on the list i can
add

it just seems to be missing from my system. is there a way of downloading it
for xp spII

Policy was intentionally disabled in Home Edition. Even if you created a
*.pol file in the %windir% with a copy of gpedit, Home would not read it and
apply the setting to the registry. If you want Policy, you want Pro or better.

Group Policies are not supported on WinXP Home. You would need WinXP
Pro in order to use gpedit.msc.

That's one of the differences between XP Home and Professional. It
only exists on Professional.
