Hello,

I am using 2000 server. I am trying to set a group policy that will allow me
to manage URLs that I have approved for our employees to visit. I have the
policy working for allowing applications that I want them use (ex. I have
disabled games, paint, IM, etc.). However, I am not able to figure out how to
manage URLs. Any information would be helpful.

Thank you,

Leo

Hi

See if this is what you want:
User Configuration -> Windows Settings -> IE Maintenance -> Security ->
Security Zones and Content Ratings - > under Security Zones and Privacy
check Import the current security zones .... then change as you want.

Howdy Leo!

Just as an additional information:

Jmnts posted you how to mess around with Internet Explorer sites and
contents but I'd recommend you to think about a proxy server.

If you just want to restrict all access to a certain site or have some
content settings, GP will be sufficient for you. But if it's about
preventing users from accessing many (often changing) sites (maybe
depending on where they are currently logged on) you'd be better off
using a proxy server.

cheers,

Florian
