Hello everyone, I am new to setting group policies. When I
go to mmc and browse to a pc I have more settings under
the computer configuration/administrative/network then I
do on my win2k server. I checked the version of the
system.adm thinking this was the problem. However, this is
the same file on both the server and the local pc. Can
anyone please tell me how I can see those options so I can
apply those settings to an ou instead of each pc. I would
really appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Dan.

Is your domain controller running Windows 2000 Server and the client system
running Windows XP? If so, XP contains a few additional options for
policies.

If the above does not describe your scenario, please provide more
information on the differences between the local and domain policies.
Thanks!

Thanks David,
However, I still have a question. Yes, my scenario is
probably as you described. On my xp machine the setting
for the gpo shows correct doing what the article says.
However, on the win2k server I don't even see the setting
as an option. Is this normal? Basically the setting I am
playing with is qos. In addition, the setting is
available on my win2k clients when I do the local policy.

Thanks for the help.
Dan
