Every once in a while i will have a user complain that "all of a sudden"
there computer is running slow. Is there a way where i can create a GPO to
automatically schedule defrags and delete temperary internet files or some
way optimize the computer so i runs somewhat faster?

Dan,

Not sure that this is the right place for such a question.

I would look at a lot of other places before GPOs to answer the extremely
generic description of 'running slow'. I would look at the Hard Drive and
make sure that there is room ( if there is less than 10% - IIRC - then
things slow down ). I would make sure that there is not a DNS related issue
( does 'running slow' mean that it takes several minutes to logon? ). I
would run Adaware and / or Spybot and make sure that there are not a lot of
Spyware issues. I would make sure that there are no viruses.

The suggestions that you stated will help - to a degree - but are probably
lower on the list of things to do.......

And you do not want to do a defrag toooo often. This is a very stressful
thing for the hard drive. And, you would really only need to do this if
they ( your users ) added / deleted a lot of files....
