Group Policy on windows 2000 professional

Situation:

we had a NT 4 domain with windows 2000 Professional
clients.
Now we migrated the NT4 to windows 2003 Active directory.

I we create any GP and link it to a OU the computers in
that OU don't update the GP. Only if we disjoin the
domain and join it again.

Is there any other solution for this problem ?

Are the clients recieving errors in regards to Userenv and SCECLI? If so
what are the detaiuls of the errors?

If the above does not help enable Userenv logging on the client, log in
verify you did not get the policies, do whatever you have to do to make the
policies apply. Repost with that Userenv.log and the name of the user
account you are testing with.
