Dr Zoidberg
We had an engineer on site from another company today who was creating a new
Group Policy Object to force certain machines to use a proxy server.
He created the GPO and configured it and then created a security group that
it should apply to.
All was going well until he went to change the permissions on the GPO so it
only applied to the security. He gave that group Read and Apply Policy
permissions which was fine but then removed *all* other permissions which
means that nobody can now do anything with the GPO.
I can add a user account to the security group and see the permissions but I
can't delete it or change the permissions.
Had this happened to a file I could have just taken ownership and then set
permissions that way but that isn't an option with a GPO.
Any suggestions on how to modify the permissions or delete it manually so I
can start again.
I don't want this thing hanging round for ever.
