I have a windws 2000 domain with most of my clients on XP. I have
from my machine open the mmc and choose the group policy snap in.
Then I choose the default Domain Policy to edit. Then I configured
the User Configuration section and logged off and back on and
everything work fine on my Xp clients and 2000 clients. Then I made
some changes to the Computer Configuration section. Shutdown the
computers and reboot. Those changes worked fine on the windows2000
clients but no matter what setting I do in the Computer Configuration
section it never effects the XP boxes. Why is this.

You may need to shutoff XP Fast Logon Feature. MS Article 305293
----Nunzio

Did you upgrade the group policies to XP?
The .adm files in W2K are version 2, in XP they're version
3. XP will not recognize some policies because they are
less than version 3.
