Hey all:
I could use some tips if anyone has them. We recently
rebuilt our domain controller because it was on SBS 2000
and we wanted full Windows 2000 functionality. We did not
follow an upgrade path - we rebuilt the domain controller
from scratch.
We already had an existing member Terminal Server which we
added to the new domain. For whatever reason the Default
Domain Policy will not propogate to the terminal server,
and it seems to have all sorts of group policy
restrictions in place that we can't disable, because they
are not coming from our server. We've had to manually go
into the local policy and tweak it to override everything
from the control panel applet not being available, to the
drives not showing. We had to do this to administer the
server from the console - the restrictions are even in
place for the administrator accounts.
Anyone know where this information may be cached, or if
there's a place in the registry that might still be
pointing to our now non-existent domain controller? Any
help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Molly
