Why might GPRESULT show that user registry settings have been applied from a
GPO that is definitely NOT linked to or inherited by the OU in which the
machine resides ?
Eg, the machine is in testou1.company.local
The GPO called TESTGPO is applied to testou2.company.local
TESTGPO is not linked to any other OU.
GPORESULT shows the user registry settings as having been applied from
TESTGPO. Also, examiniation of the user registry shows this to be the case
(ie, GPRESULT is telling the truth).
The only other thing I should state is that the machine was originially
placed in TESTOU2 but has now been moved.
We're getting quite despereate with this now. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin
