I had a group policy that would not allow pop ups in
Internet Explorer. I have since change that policy and
three people are still not allowed to have pop ups. The
user can log into any of the computers and receive the
error. I have even deleted and recreated the user from
active directory. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Group policy absolutely needs to have dns working properly although no info
anywhere tells you this. The client machine must look towards a dns server
which hosts the domain zone (probably your primary dns server) or group
policy won't work. When I first set up our office, I was told to set the dns
on the clients to the isp's dns. I since discovered that they must point the
internal domain dns controllers which in turn will pass unresolved queries
on tot he next stage dns servers - usually the isps.

This might not be your problem but it took me ages to get GP to work 100%
reliably and it was this that solved my problems. I had added new users,
reattached machines tot the domain, restarted the servers and the clients.
Everything and somethimes it worked and somethimes not. Since sorting the
dns it works 100% of the time.
