Hello all,

I want to make a group policy for a specific user. That
user logs on to a Windows 2000 Professional client.

Do I have to create a new Organisation Unit for that user,
put the user in that OU and create a new group policy on
the new OU?

Or is there maybe a way to apply the Default Domain Policy
on only one user instead of all users?

Thanks in advance,

René Kas

You could create a new GPO then make sure only the user
you want the GPO to apply to has "Read" and "Apply Group
Policy" permissions. (Security Tab of GPO property page)

You don't need to create a new OU , just a security group with the one user
in

Then you can create a second domain policy and filter it using permissions
so it only applies to the members of your security group

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

I made a new GPO and gave the user Read and Apply Group
Policy permissions but the client computer on which the
user logs on won't load the policy..

I refreshed the policy by running 'secedit /refreshpolicy'
but that had no effect.

Is there something else I should do?

Thanks in advance,
