Hi everyone,

We are on Windows 2000 Professional client computers. Now,
we have been provided with admin login and rights. I am
logged with admin rights but when I try to access
C:\WINNT\System32\Group Policy folder, I cannot. I get a
message cannot access access denied.

David

Sometimes to get local policies to apply to all users except the
administrator- the administrator is removed from the security settings on
that folder. What are the permissions set to on the folder?

.

Right click Group Policy and go to properties and security and give your
self full control.

Or try to take ownership of the Group Policy folder then try to give
yourself Full Control.

You can also go to the System32 folder, verify you have Full Control
Permissions on the Security tab and press Advanced and press Replace
permissions on all subfolders......
