HI Everyone,

I am looking to disable offline files through a group policy. I created a
GPO which disables offline files (Computer Config -> Admin Templates ->
Network -> Offline Files -> Allow or Disallow use of Offline Files Feature =
Disabled).

When I restarted the workstation the system is still using offline files. I
have to manually go into Tools -> Folder Options -> Offline Files and then
turn off the setting and then logoff the user in order for the settings to
work.

How do I disable Offline Files? I do not like the intellisync screen which
appears when the user logoff the workstation and I want to disable this
feature so that the workstation starts up/shuts down faster.

Thank you,
D

Hello,

I think I may know the root cause of the problem. Is the GPO suppose to
link with the computer object as well?

I have an OU called "testing" and a test user account. When I placed the
computer object within the "Testing" OU all functionality was restored.
Could you please confirm if this is why my Offline Files GPO wouldn't work?

Thank you,
Derek
