I have laptop users that I've configured IE (proxy) settings for while connected to the domain/network (WindowsXP laptops/W2K3 domain). Is there a way to configure group policy to NOT APPLY those policies when not connected to a network/domain? When they're using their laptops at home, I want them to obviously not go through the proxy, but I would rather not explain to them how to change IE LAN/proxy settings, or they would probably do that while at the work.
I assume the user policy does NOT apply while off the network/domain, but the computer policy does? Anyone with information on this would be GREATLY appreciated. Formal documentation explaining this would be phenomenal!
