group policy and setup.exe

we have a new product that i need to install, it does not have an msi only
setup.exe

is there a way to have this installed for users via group policy so i do not
have to do it on each pc

I've read about a .ZAP file on the Microsoft site and you
have to use them under User Configuration in your policy.
It's basically a batch file you write. See article 231747
on the Microsoft site. To be honest I didn't get mine to
work, but I never spent much time with it.

Try running the setup.exe with a /x command line argument. Depending on the
package, it may cause the files to extract and you may find a .msi file in
there.
