Help ! going to crack up.
I have a Windows 2000 server with Active directory.
This is a School Senario, by the way.
All the students get a mandatory desktop.
and are pathed to their U: drive
Therefore ALL the apps need to save to the u:\
they do this as it is also set locally on the
pcs in the default user profile.
Now !!!
The old users from last term when they double
click on My Documents on the desktop it paths
them to their home drive on the network.
When I create a new user, they do not have the
same profile, some of the apps i.e paint don't
path to the u:\ and the My Documents shows
the local drive.
Questions
1. Why are the new users not getting the profile
but are getting the correct programs menu
2. Using Group policies can you specify the default
saving path of ALL application. I.E U:\
Any help would be greatly appreciated !
Many thanks
