I know that there is a limit for the number of group a user can belong
to but, is there a limit number of member a group can have?

Maybe there is no limit for the native groups like domain user but is
there one for groups created by network admins.

Thanks

There is not a theoretical limit however there is a practical one that
processing get more expensive with more than 5000 members

5000 is the limit. This is not a hard limit, but if you go over that
limit you'll start winding up with dropped group remembers due to
replication issues. This limit is detailed on Microsoft's web site.

The only group that doesn't have this limit is a group that is defined
as a user's Primary Group (which is Domain Users by default). This is
because that attribute is maintained on the user object and not the
group object. Again, this is all documented.

This limit goes away with Windows Server 2003 depending on what
functional level your domain is running at. Again, fully documented.
