how can I send out a group e-mail but have only individual name show up on
the recipient "TO" box?

You should ask this question in a newsgroup for your email program. You
didn't happen to mention what it was... In most email programs, you would
do this using 'blind carbon copy" or BCC. The program's help file should
have more details on how to use BCC.
