Hi

We have Win2003 Standard server as a Domain controller and clients are XP
and 2000 professional.

I applied some of the Grouppolicies like Desktop policy and network policy
on all the computers.

Desktop Policy : Disabling the Changing Wallpaper and Active Desktop like
that.

Network policy : Disabling the enable/disable option of Network connection.
Disabling the changing ip addresses in the client
side. like that..

When i see in XP systems the desktop policy is applied, but Network policy
is not applied. The same network policy applied on all other computers in the
network.

When i see the group policy report it didn't show any errors. Is there any
problem with XP systems.. Built in firewall is blocking any of the policies.

Pls kindly help me on this.

Thanks and Regards
Varadarajam.

Hi,

Please enable userenv debugging and look over any errors or warnings.

Hi Dasarath and Harj

Harj Sorry for the late reply. Because just now i solved my xp group policy
problem.

There is a small policy we need to enable in the group policy. I will tell
you what i did is in my 2003 Domain controller.

Edit your Group policy (Where you want to apply this policy) -- User
Configuration --Administrative Templates--Network -- Network
Connections--There u will find a policy "Enable Windows2000 network
connection settings for Administrator". Please Enable that option.

Update your group policy with "gpupdate /force" command in your 2003 DC from
the Start--Run

Pls read those policy descriptions for more information.

Thats all. Your xp policy will apply automatically once those XP system
restarts.

Thanks and Regards
