developed a few problems, and i don't know what precipitated them.

first, every reply that i send to a newsgroup goes directly to "outbox" -
it is never posted.

second, i am forced to reconnect to the network every time i select (to
view) a different ng.

Ideally, you should submit separate trouble reports since the two
gremlins aren't related.

Are you able to delete the posts sitting in the Outbox? Chances are,
there is one you won't be able to move or delete. If so, download,
install, and use the "Clear Outbox" function of the WMUtil tool:
http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil .

Regarding your other issue, how do you connect to the Internet?

In Windows Mail, go to Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties,
Connection tab, and make sure the settings there are grayed out, indicating
that IE's settings will be used.

When you open Internet Explorer, does it try to dial? If so, go to either
Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet Options or Control Panel/Internet Options.
Click on the Connections tab. Make sure "Never dial a connection" is
ticked. In fact, all the dial-up settings should be grayed out, indicating
that Vista recognizes the presence of an Internet connection via the LAN.
