I have a buddy of mine that I intstalled BCM for. Yesterday he noticed the
SQL icon in next to the clock and then proceeded to delete the SQL server
using add/remove programs. I went there this morning and reinstalled the
SQL Desktop Engine and then restarted Outlook - I got an error that outlook
(bcm) could not connect to the database and the BCM dropdown box and menu
options were not active.

How can I reinstall BCM and maybe save what data he has?

Remove SQL, and reinstall BCM, which will then reinstall SQL.

BCM needs to create its own SQL instance with special properties that
BCM expects. It is technically possible to get the BCM database hosted
on another SQL instance because you have to tweak various things.

Okay I can not remove SQL because I get some error saying an MSI file is
missing. I then tried to install SQL/MSDE 2000 and then reinstalled BCM will
still no luck. Even tried to creade a new database - no luck. Do you have
any other suggestions? I can get you all the error message I can in order to
help you!
