Hello everyone,
Just yesterday I purchased a brand new 3-color toner (HP brand) for the
above printer. The printer has separate black and color toner cartridges. My
problem is that no matter what I do, the outcome printout has "green tint"
all over it. (I', talking about printing color graphics - for text I'm using
a laser HP printer). I.e. even when printing the diagnostic or test pages
(which other than that print fine) there is no plain blue anywhere.
Everything is kind of greenish. Reds, blues, even yellows are all shades of
green. I tried installing two kinds of drivers, the latest one from HP
web-site and the one that came with the printer - same effect. Does anyone
have any suggestions what the problem could be? Is it the toner? (I'll try
to talk to Staples people today). I already played with all the possible
settings (I think) preferences etc. I'd greatly appreciate any help on the
above topic. Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Alan D.

Did you "prime" the ink cartridge?

Are you sending "raw" data?

I'm sorry Rick, but what do you mean "prime". As to the "raw" data, I don't
know either. Whatever I print comes out green. The HP test image or anything
else. How should I have "primed" the toner, and could that be the problem?
Thanks.

It sounds like you have a defective cartridge. Print a diagnostic test as
shown at:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...=bpd07098&product=61012&dlc=en&lang=en#N10248

There should be nozzle patterns of cyan, magenta and yellow. If the cyan or
yellow appear green you will need to contact your dealer for a replacement
cartridge.

Thanks a lot for the info guys. I'm off to Staples today. They're gonna
replace the cartridge.
