Green Line on TFT XGA matrix

I have the stange problem: green line (rather thin about 1 pic) appeared in
a distance about 2 mm from the right vertical edge of my laptop screen. The
length of this line is about 180 mm. It seems to me that this line appeared
after DVD-region Free installation, but I'm not sure:-(.
I have Pressario 2700 EA laptop with 15'' TFT XGA matrix display.
Is this problem with hardware or with drivers?

It is doubtful that it is anything other than a hardware or video driver
problem, which can be resolved by reinstalling the video driver.
This might be a line of pixels frozen ("hot") on green.You can test the
frozen pixel theory: it should show up no matter what color background
except green and should be invariant with software that is running. If
the laptop is under warranty, the LCD might be replaceable.
