Green Line in Video capture

I am trying to capture my home video recordings from a sony analog camcorder
through an S-VHS connection. Eventually I would put the video onto DVD. I
have no problems with capturing the footage however I get a thin green line
on the right hand side of the picture and a thin shaky line at the bottom.
Any help or explanation would be much appreciated.

The shaky line at teh bottom is probably the analogue signal, and won't be
visible on the tv due to overscan, ie around 10% of video is not seen.
The green line could be fixed by, ensuring the graphics card drivers are up
to date, direct x is up to date and may as well ensure WMP is also up to
date.

Thanks for the quick reply. In answer to your suggestions, Direct X is 9.0c,
Graphics card is an ATI X800pro vivo with catalyst 4.12 drivers and I have
wmp version 10. Any further help would be most grateful as i`ve been
searching the boards and the web for a solution for months.

Graham I think your first thought on overscan was on the mark. I decided to
burn to DVD and both the green line and analog signal at the bottom is not
visible. Thanks.
