I'm getting the Greek letter lambda on unordered lists where the bullet point
dot should be. I'm not aware that I did anything to casue this, but I'd sure
like to restore things to the way they used to be. I have run virus scans
and two spyware programs trying to find the problem, but nothing comes up.

Hi nkviking:-)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, but, you might try
the following and see if it helps:

First, open IE and go to Tools>Internet Options>Accessibility
For normal viewing, nothing should be checked in this dialog area.

Then go to View>Encoding (on the Toolbar)
Check to see what your setting there is. Depending on your version of
Windows, try using Western European (Windows) or Unicode (UTC-8).

Also check your Font setting under Tools>Internet Options>Fonts (at the
bottom of the dialog box) to be sure your settings have not changed. If
there is another language in the list that you do not need or use, remove
it.

Additionally, some websites can override your selected fonts, depending on
the programmer, and....sometimes programs that you install can install their
own version of some fonts. Have you installed any new programs just prior
to this problem? If so, try uninstalling it and see if that will help.
However, sometimes installed fonts are not uninstalled when the program is
uninstalled.

Hope this helps.
