How can I prevent a page that is opening in minimized state on taskbar (open
in new window) from jumping in front of the page I am looking at?

You see, I want to read the first page I open while I have clicked on
another page to open in a new window, but I don't like it pushing itself in
front of the page I am reading. Help, please.

Have I missed something here? How about *not* clicking on the second
link/page until you've finished reading the first one? Otherwise you have
given a command to "*Open*...in a *new* window", and it's going to do just
that.

Dear Lucky,
I did the same thing in IE5, and the 2nd page to slam itself right
up in my face while reading the first page. BTW, the reason I do that
is because I am on dial up and those pages take a while to download,
so I read the original while waiting for the 2nd to download. NOthing
crazy about that. :)

Zmartha,

OK. The only thing I can think of is to click all of the links you want,
either as open in a new window, or open link in a new window. Also be sure
in Internet options>advanced tab>"reuse windows to launch shortcuts" is not
checked. Some pages do not permit this. Then, have them load, and minimize
each one. Then go back to the original page and read it. Click on the
minimized taskbar page for each subsequent one you wish to read. That's
about the best procedure I can recommend.
