How do I get more hits and improve on search responses? My site
http://www.kingofcasaloma.com has been up for about two weeks and search
engines don't seem to be able to see it. Do I just have to wait or do I have
to pay? Any other tips?

Thanks. carl o

These days, you really have to pay the search engines some money. Sad,
but true. We used to be able to optimise our sites with good
descriptions and keywords (and it's still worth doing that), but I
suggest paying Google some money for a sponsored link.

Visit www.searchenginewatch.com for search engine submission tips.

The title of your home page is "Home". Not very descriptive.

It can take several weeks or even months for search engines to list you.

I didn't check your URL before I posted my last reply. If this poster
is correct that your title is Home, then you've no chance. The title
is the first thing that the search engine looks for. Use about 15
words of relevant text in your title.

You have recieved some very good replies to your question and
I would also like to offer some usefull tips of my own.

Try a link exchange program with other similar sites as yours. You can
create a small
link banner to offer (best sizes are 130x55, 150x40 and 88x31) as well.
Another way
to get visitors is by signing other peoples guestbooks and tagboards. On
Fridays I go
on a guesbook and tagboard signing binge, which makes my hit counter
skyrocket over the
weekends lol.

The majority of my visitors come from my site being listed on other sites
and this is also
another great way of getting helpful contacts.
