I encounter a great trouble with win2k. My previous OS
(win2k) is damaged, so I reinstall it. But after the
installation, everything is alright except my Documents
and Settings folders, it lost all the data I have. It
contains many important documents without them I may be
on fire. So who know how to recover the lost data in that
folders, please show it to me. Thank you very very very
much. I owe you.

Well, it depends on how you 'reinstalled' Windows, but probably your
documents are still on the hard drive.

In Windows Explorer, open the Documents and Settings folder. Look for a
folder with the same name as your user name. If you are joined to a domain,
it will be called username.domainname. If you are lucky, your current
profile is username.domainname.000 - your old data is in
username.domainname. You can use My Computer Properties - User Profiles tab
to copy one profile to another.

I'm sorry to say it seems you may have done a clean
install. If you reformated your drive, Sorry you lost
everything.
