I would like to be able to set my displays on my Windows XP machines
(desktop uses ATI Radeon graphics, laptop uses mobile nVidia GEForce4)
to display grayscale, like every Macintosh has been able to do since Day
One. I find it to be a useful capability for some situations and I
really miss this feature.

Does ANYONE know of a driver or drivers that would enable this with
Windows boxes?

hello Bill, have you tried creating or changing a color
profile or maybe altering some of the settings that your
vid cards came with? i am sorry to say, i have never heard
of a driver to make a monitor not work correctly, being
that they are supposed to display in color.
