I have created a graph of data points (y) over the course of a year (x). The points have a wide array of scatter. I want to put a line on the graph to cover the course of the whole year that represents where the mean is (Not a trendline! Just a straight line where y=mean for all x points). Also, along the same lines, I would love to be able to put a continuous line showing 1) y=(mean+standard deviation) for all x points and 2) y=(mean-standard deviation) for all x points. In this way I could get a visual picture for the year of where the points are falling and how many are above or below the standard deviation. I am having difficulty finding an easy way to do this? If anyone has any tricks or shortcuts I would love to hear them!
