I am new to Vista and to a flat screen monitor. Not sure which is the
difference but all the websites I go on,even news sites etc the photos on
them look too wide like they are not sized right. Using my cam on a program
the look spread out....in other words any place there is a picture its not
right. Hope have described it ok.
If you have ever resized a photo and gotten it wrong you will know what I am
talking about. Is this normal for a flat screen? or is a setting thats not
right?

You are not using the native resolution for your screen.. try a widescreen
resolution like 1440 x 990..

I would guess that you're not running your desktop at the native resolution
of the monitor and the monitor is re-sizing it.

For example if you have your desktop set at 1280x1024 and the monitor's
native resolution is 1650x1080 then your monitor will be stretching the
desktop to fit.

Find out what your flat screen's native resolution is and set your desktop
to the same resolution, you'll also be surprised how much crisper it looks
when it's not being re-sized.
