Graphics won't print through a networked printer

I have a simple PowerPoint presentation that has a few
high resolution graphics in it (200dpi). When I connect
the HP Deskjet 5550 printer directly to the PC (USB),
everything prints fine. When I print the same slides to
the same printer through a LAN connection, the graphics
won't print. All the printer preferences are the same.
Any ideas??

JonV,

Are you using the same printer driver version on both local and networked PC?

What method is the printer driver set to send the data to the other PC (e.g. raw etc)

It's the same PC (it's a laptop) and is using the same printer driver. The only difference is that it works when the laptop is connected directly to the printer (USB), but doesn't if the laptop is connected to the LAN and is printing to the shared printer. I found that it won't print from Word also, so it's not just PowerPoint

If you are using a shared printer does all the software need to be on PC that is sharing the printer? In this case, the printer is attached to (and shared from) a desktop without Office installed. The laptop that I'm sending the print from does have Office 2003

Thank

Try installing the driver on your local machine so that your Office apps.
can interface with it.
