Hi,

A friend had a problem with no mouse pointer and only low-
res graphics after the mouse cord was cut by a micheivous
5 year old. A new mouse was fitted to no avail. I looked
at it today and deleted the mouse driver which got the
mouse working fine again. However, I am able to choose
higher res on the display settings, it then asks for a
restart, which is done, but it always reverts to 16-color
mode. I cannot find any sriver problems and am a loss
right now - I just left the guy doing a system restore in
the hope that this will cure it. If any one has any
further solutions, please reply.

Thank you

Kevin C

I would have thought it unlikely that the cutting of the mouse cord should
effect the graphics, unless there was a short circuit and yr using onboard
graphics chip.
You might try checking manu.site for graphic drivers,

For info...

I got it working, just removed the display adapter and
rebooted, same as I did with the mouse driver to get that
working
