Hi,

Here is what I want to do. Create a circle, or oval, image that fades
lighter and/or darker outwards. Something like an image of a sun.

I know that there are text gradient tools but I want the fade to be
circular/oval. I would also prefer the ability to gradient the same
colour eg. dark yellow to light yellow.

Any suggestions anyone ?

You can do this in Zoner Draw 3.

The image can be exported in any of a range of bitmap formats.

There are several copies of a free version of Eye Candy 3.0 / 3.1 on the
net. Alien Skin released it free with an attached copy of their next
version for sampling. After install the 'sample' new version may be removed
with the Eye Candy 3 plugin remaining for your use without
restrictions. I am sure that one of the setting in this tool would do
what you are wanting plus provide you with options for future use
with almost any program that can use photoshop plugins.

You could probably do this with a gradient brush in either ImageForge

Just adjust the fuzzy edge of the brush and set the size to whatever.
