graphics problems

This one is sort of hard to explain...but I'll do my
best...

For reasons I don't know, the graphics on my computer
aren't portioned properly. For example, I might open a
program and near the bottom or side or whatnot, its as if
a portion of the window is hidden...I have a screenshot
for an example, but it can't be posted on this thing...

I know it isn't based on certain programs, because I might
open a window on internet explorer and it will do the same
thing...I played with the screen resolution and that
doesn't change anything. can anybody help out?

Try playing around with the buttons on the front of your monitor.
