Graphics Problem

Our new comp with XP Pro seems to work fine with one notable exception :
in an online game of Backgammon, every moved chip leaves thick lines on the
screen which makes it impossible to play. It worked fine in W2KPro.

Can anyone help with an idea what might be worng please ?

PS : we have the latest drivers installed
