Graphics positioning

I would like more control of where the graphics (titles, captions, etc.) are
positioned over my photos (stills). Often there is better contrasting
background for text to lay over, than the 'flush left', 'centre' or 'flush
right' options available.

Is there any way to force the text lower, or higher than the preset
positions available?

thanks, Greg
p.s. Special thanks to John Kelly for the 'Codecs Rename' program. It
improved my MM2 performance.

Hello Greg,

The only way you can depart from the norm with Movie Maker is to create an
overlay file with a transparent background. When this was "THE" topic I had
a play myself and saw some attempts by others....none of it was very
satisfactory....and it took a relitavely large amount of effort.

I moved on to the free program MovieXone and as a result bought the latest
version of that called MovieDV at US $69 it beats programs into the ground
that cost ten times as much...its drawback is the SKIN method they
use...hate that...but the program is just excelent...3D movement of text,
super transitions and effects and multiple time lines...very clever stuff.
