Hi all,
Hope you can help.
I have an ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 Mobo and graphics is an ATI 4870.
CPU is overclocked from a 2.66 GHtz to 3.33 GHtz and its all very
stable and runs as sweet as a nut..... with one little foible.
When I boot from cold - the machine runs fine - but if I play a
graphic intensive game I generally get some "stippling" (i.e. where th
epicture is corrupted with bright pixels). its not too bad, but there.
Now I understand that this happens if the graphics card is
stressed/overclocked a bit too much.
But the funny thing is... if I then reboot the machine with a warm
restart - the problem goes away and I can play all the games and get
zero "stippling".
So, what is happening to mean I have the problem only from a cold
boot? and is there anything I can do to avoid it.
(P.S. I would rather not mess with the voltages more than I have
already - and I dont mess with voltages between a cold and warm start
- so I guess its something else(.
Any help appreciated.
PPS... dont go mad on the technical please keep it simple enough that
I can understand..... ta ;-)
